When the BC SPCA contacted us to help get the word out about PawsitiveGifts.ca, I could not help but say yes. I found my Karma-Kitty at my local SPCA and do anything I can to help support the animals. And, this comes at a perfect time of year, too.
One of the most stressful aspects of the otherwise jolly holiday season is trying to find gifts for everyone --especially the hard-to-buy-for gang. I’ve got two such gift recipients on my list, but this year I’ve got a plan. Because they, like me, are animal lovers, I am in luck. As an added bonus to finding the perfect gift I will get a tax receipt too!
The BC SPCA’s alternative gift giving site can be found at www.PawsitiveGifts.ca. The gifts available at Pawsitive Gifts are perfect for the animal lovers on my list. Thank goodness, this year I can swap that cat coffee mug with an investment of $50 in ten “Hide, Perch, and Go Boxes” that help reduce stress in shelter cats, So no more embroidered dog sweaters, says me. The other hard-to-buy-for-person on my list would love the idea behind sponsoring a dog’s health check so the dog can be ready to be adopted into a loving home. You can even buy a “pawsitively” perfect stocking stuffer! You can feed a puppy or a litter of kittens for just $5. Perfect gifts for these people on my list.
To make sharing my gifts a bit easier, Pawsitive Gifts provides an e-card that I can send to the gift recipient via e-mail or a print out a card to give in person. And with so many options for types of animals to help – cats, dogs, horses, little critters, wild animals, farm animals – and so many ways to help – food, shelter, health care – www.PawsitiveGifts.ca is not only a great site for hard to please recipients, but for the animal lover in all of us.
This season, help save an animal. Here is some more information about the BC SPCA:
In 2007, the BC SPCA helped more than 40,000 injured, abused, and homeless animals throughout the province of British Columbia. The BC SPCA was created under the auspices of the provincial Prevention of Cruelty Act, and is the only animal welfare organization in BC which as the authority to enforce laws relating to animal cruelty. In 2007, the BC SPCA investigated more than 4,600 complaints of cruelty and neglect and seized more than 1,500 animals from harmful situations.
The BC SPCA receives very little government funding and relies almost solely on donations from the general public. Thank you for considering purchasing a gift from Pawsitive Gifts.
