What is your best friend?

We all have our friends, even best friends.   Some we have had since grade school, some we have just met and feel instantly connected.  With some, we are not sure where we end and they start.  They just know us.  But however close we feel to them, they are still outside of us.  They are, however close, separate from us.

I am lucky.  Very lucky.  I have a few friends that I share this marvellous deep connection with that I feel are actually a part of who I am, an important part.   One of my such friends has shone the light on another form of friendship that I would like to share with you today.

Today, my said friend passed along an incredibly moving video, albeit a bit of an oldy...  There are so many parts of this video that had brought tears to my eyes.  But mostly, I was moved by the best friend within ourselves.  A friend that I sometimes forget about.

Each of us has something within ourselves that is unique to us.  Small, big - no matter.  It is ours.  It brings us joy, comfort, love and peace.  Sometimes, we find this friend only when we need it most, or it may be a constant companion.  Our best friend.

What is your best friend?

Mine is inspiration.  I love to look for alternative, wider perspectives and find solutions in seemingly obscure spots. 

I sometimes forget about this friend.  I am thankful that I have my "other" friends to remind me about it.  Thanks, D.

Cleaning Method

I have to say that I hate cleaning.  Ya. I know.  You would think that sums up pretty much everyone.  But yes, there are actually people out there that love to shine and spiff.  Not me. 

However, if you throw in aromatherapy, I am all over it.  Although, I can't stand things full of chemicals that are bad for us just to make things smell pretty.  Sorry, just not willing to exchange toxicity for a bit of aromatherapy, call me crazy.

Then, the team at method came along and solved all of my problems. (Ok, this one anyway.  But who knows, maybe they will come up with a solution for trying to fit in 10 hours worth of work into a 2 hour time slot, you never know...)

So because I love method and their natural, non-toxic, bio-degradable products, that I just can't help but clean.  Really.  And no, this is not a sponsored post and yes, I did have to share with you.  Their products are that good.

K - so what are the method products that have brought me to a near June Cleaver state?  (Ok, I am really far from that state, but anyway...)

Top Pick: Sweeping on a whole new level

I love, love the almond cleaner.  Remember how much I love aromatherapy?  K.  So this could be natural, non-toxic and all that jazz, but this magnificent smell, that is really what has me wanting to clean my floors all the time.  Just for the smell.  (Forget about, you know, being clean.)

Cleaning Wipes
So, I am a bit of a "clean it when I can", sort of gal and I love that I can just grab these wipes and give a quick once over.  Saves time, makes shiny, smells divine.  Love it!

Although it is more expensive than my other dish soaps, I will buck it up.  Smells good, cleans well and it is natural.  Gotta love it.

Body Wash
So, after all of this cleaning, a gal needs to relax.   Morning or night, I love method's body wash.

Yes, there are actually more method products I use (like the french lavender spray, the ylang ylang shower spray and cannot possibly forget about the eucalyptus flushable wipes, becuase I like to feel like I am in a spa when I am cleaning) and products that I would love to use but cannot yet find in Canada (sweet water hand sanitizer) ...

But 'cha get the point.  Love method.

Creativity. Love it.

I love getting creative - that is one of my favourite things about my career.  Even if I have to do something 100 times over until I get it right, I still love it.

Creating our new blog is just one of those examples.  So much fun choosing where, how, what... 

Creativity is a fantastic form of expression and I hope to foster this well in my kids...
